Ric Edelman Best-Seller The Lies About Money Wins 2nd Major Book Award
Honored by the Institute for Financial Literacy
FAIRFAX, Va., Oct. 15 — Acclaimed financial advisor Ric Edelman’s book The Lies About Money has been named winner of an Excellence in Financial Literacy Education (EIFLE) Award – the second national award for the 2007 best-seller.
The EIFLE Awards are presented by the Institute for Financial Literacy, a leading financial counseling and education organization. The awards honor “innovation and quality of financial literacy education efforts.” Edelman’s book was named the winner in the “Investing and Retirement Planning” category. This year’s EIFLE recipients will be honored on Wednesday, Oct. 21, in Philadelphia, during the institute’s Annual Conference on Financial Education.
Last year, The Lies About Money was awarded a Gold Medal in the Axiom Business book Awards, taking top honors in that competition’s “Personal Finance” category.
